Arecont Vision IP Megapixel Cameras Deliver High Definition

On An IP Platform To Save Bandwidth And Stream Faster.

Cost-Effective Series Available in Multiple Configurations.

Las Vegas, NV (September 24, 2007) - Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP megapixel camera technology, is displaying its suite of megapixel video surveillance solutions this year at ASIS. With a range of products including their unique 360º and 180 º panoramic cameras, a dual-lens day/night camera and a line of single fixed lens cameras ranging from 1.3 to 5 megapixels also available in day/night or mini versions, Arecont Vision’s unique megapixel camera series offers real-time, megapixel digital video with up to 25 times more resolution than conventional analog or IP surveillance cameras.

“Arecont Vision’s innovative line of IP megapixel cameras delivers higher resolution than conventional video surveillance cameras to deliver highly detailed images for critical applications,” said Steven Sarfati, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Arecont Vision. “Our unique processing technologies and camera configurations are also extremely cost-effective in that they offer more detailed coverage than as many as 24 conventional surveillance cameras. This combined with their ability to conserve valuable bandwidth and stream faster provides numerous additional cost and operational advantages.”

Images from Arecont¹s fixed cameras can be cropped to a 16 x 9 aspect ratio and scaled to 1080p or 720p for a true High Definition format. Up to four virtual cameras can be streamed by selecting regions of interest and acquiring them as separate video streams. Resolution is fully controllable; it is possible to stream full resolution or scale less in order to conserve bandwidth. It is also possible to stream full field of view decimated images in parallel with un-decimated windows of interest.  With support for compliant Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and auto-iris control functionality, these cameras deliver full motion progressive scan resolution and are priced comparably to analog video cameras.

Based on Arecont Vision’s proprietary massively-parallel MegaVideo® technology, Arecont¹s fixed cameras have Ultra Forensic Zooming offering the ability to zoom after the event, up to 96X compared to standard IP cameras from high definition digital archives with simultaneous viewing of zoomed and a full field of view images.

Additionally, Arecont Visions innovative megapixel cameras are priced comparably to standard resolution IP video cameras and are exclusively manufactured in the USA.

Arecont Visions IP Megapixel Camera Series includes:

The AV8360 360º Panoramic Megapixel IP Camera features Arecont Vision’s exclusive SurroundVideo® technology to deliver panoramic views and cinema compatible high frame rates with HD quality.  This four-sensor camera provides 8 megapixels of high definition video (6400 x 1200) over the entire panoramic view.  It delivers with full motion progressive scan of four 1600 x 1200 video channels at 22 fps featuring massively-parallel MegaVideo® image processing architecture capable of sustaining over 6 billion operations per second and capable of substituting up to 24 analog cameras for maximum cost-efficiency. Additional features include PoE, electronic zoom from recorded images, simultaneous viewing of the zoomed and full field of view images, and on-board real-time motion detection with size and sensitivity controls for up to 64 separate zones per channel.

The AV8180 180º Panoramic Megapixel IP Camera features all the performance of the AV8360 with a 180º panoramic field of view.

The AV3130 DayNight™ Megapixel IP Camera features a unique dual sensor design that integrates a full 3-megapixel color sensor with a 1.3 megapixel B/W sensor.  This allows superb focus and imaging that delivers sensitivity from 0.01 lux to 100,000 lux with a frame rate of 20 fps @ 1920 x 1200 resolution or 30 fps at 1280 x 1024 resolution. The unit employs Arecont Vision’s DualBand™ technology that seamlessly switches to an optimized monochrome sensor in low light to accommodate scene illuminations ranging from bright sunlight to cloudy moonlight. Additional features include PoE and a host of programmable features including Auto Day-Night switch from Monochrome to Color, Auto Exposure (AE) and Gain Control (AGC), Auto Backlight Compensation and Auto Multi-Matrix White Balance.

The AV1300 1.3 Megapixel IP Camera has a frame rate of 30 fps @ Resolution 1,280 x 1,024 and is sensitive to 0.1 lux @ F1.4. Full resolution 1.3 megapixel or quarter resolution 4CIF can be streamed to conserve bandwidth. This provides an easy upgrade path for today’s standard IP camera users with the flip of a software setting.

The AV2100 2 Megapixel IP Camera has a frame rate of 24 fps @ Resolution 1,600 x 1,200 and is sensitive to 0.1 lux @ F1.4. One of the latest additions to MegaVideo® product line, the Arecont AV2100 leverages proprietary patent-pending technology and alleviates the cost and frame rate shortcomings associated with multi-megapixel video surveillance. In addition, the Arecont AV2100 delivers full-motion HDTV progressive scan resolution and is priced comparably to Standard IP video cameras.

The AV3100 3 Megapixel IP Camera is sensitive to 0.2 lux @ F1.4 with a frame rate of 22 fps @ Resolution 1,920 x 1,080. One of the latest additions to the MegaVideo® product line, the AV3100 leverages proprietary patent-pending technology and alleviates the cost and frame rate shortcomings associated with multi-megapixel video surveillance.

The AV5100 5 Megapixel IP Camera is sensitive to 0.3 lux @ F1.4, with a frame rate of 10 fps @ Resolution 2,560 x 1,600. Delivering full motion progressive scan 2592 x 1944 video at 8 fps, the AV5100 network camera features massively-parallel MegaVideo® image processing architecture capable of sustaining over 6 billion operations per second. High resolution and crystal clear imagery allow the AV5100 to substitute up to fifteen analog cameras, thereby reducing the total cost of installation. Power can be drawn from a low-cost Power-over-Ethernet switch, eliminating the need to supply a separate power source.

The new family of single sensor Day/Night IP megapixel cameras is made up of four new models, the AV1300DN, AV2100DN, AV3100DN, and AV5100DN. The 1.3, 2.0, 3.0 and 5.0-megapixel cameras use IR cut filter removal for increased low light sensitivity, providing up to ten times better sensitivity than color-only models.
